Unlike other fishing games, in Big Bass Reefdash you play as the fish. Your orange fish swims automatically to the right while the ocean world scrolls toward you. Your only job is to steer up and down! The same controls are presented here with a different underwater voice.
Guide your mouse up and down over the underwater challenge (or drag your finger on mobile) to guide the fish. The fish smoothly follows your cursor. On keyboard, use Arrow Up/Down or W/S. React quickly as obstacles appear!
Hooks hang from above at varied depths. Nets block large sections of water. Red and purple corals grow from the seafloor. Any contact costs a life — and on hard difficulty you only have one!
Bubbles, pearls, and starfish float in the water. Swim through them to gather points. The longer your consecutive collection streak, the bigger the bonus multiplier. Pearls are worth 50 pts — worth chasing!
Three rare power-ups appear occasionally: 🛡 Shield absorbs one obstacle hit. ⚡ Speed Boost makes you swim faster and increases score multiplier. 🧲 Magnet pulls nearby collectibles toward you for 6 seconds! The same controls are presented here with a different underwater voice.
Basic fishing hook hanging from a line. Appears at various heights. Easy to spot by the glowing hazards aura. avoid above or below.
A hook with a juicy worm attached. More tempting — don't fall for it! Same avoid mechanic as regular hooks.
Three hooks joined together — wider hazards zone. Appears in harder difficulty zones. Requires precise positioning to avoid.
